6K a year General Purpose:
The buyer is responsible for the procurement of all goods and services in a major area of a particular component group, commodity, class or family of suppliers to support direct and indirect operations.
Primary contact and coordinator with all Suppliers in the area of Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Financial considerations including, but not limited to, the flow of materials, cost reduction initiatives, and disposition of non-conforming goods.
This position will be responsible for ordering products used in production and aftermarket sales in accordance with Con-Tech Manufacturing designated stocking levels.
Con-Tech is a nationwide leader in the Concrete Industry and is expanding its product offerings into the Refuse Industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain designated inventory levels by appropriately placing Purchase Orders with consideration of production consumption and aftermarket sales Manage the cost of goods through procurement by optimizing purchase quantities and qualifying new vendors and suppliers Ensure the quality of goods purchased are meeting specifications laid out in the design prints Analyze costs and suggest new opportunities for savings and cost control Communicate proactively with Production and Engineering on issues with quality, product specifications, or delivery Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain relationships and build new relationships
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of related experience in procurement or supply chain Experience in manufacturing environment which includes reading and interpreting design prints for fabrication Ability to communicate effectively and concisely Strong decision-making skills that include developing recommendations and solutions for issues or problems that may arise Excellent prioritization and organization skills
